Making the app easily accessible is an important concern of the project. The app is available free of charge in the Play Store and is also distributed by healthcare providers in the health centres of the health districts in the Togo region, where the partner organisation AFAD is present. A particularly innovative feature is the ability to use the app without an internet connection once it has been downloaded. This means that women in remote areas can download the app during their visits to the health centre and then access important information at home, even if they do not have internet access.
Another key aspect of the project is the commitment to user privacy. The app does not collect any personal data and thus guarantees the protection of privacy.
Further development is part of the project
The commitment does not end with the launch. The project aims to continuously develop the app by collecting feedback and suggestions from users. A survey can be used to measure the spread of the app, assess user satisfaction and make improvements.
"Our baby and us" aims to offer pregnant women and their partners valuable support on their journey to parenthood. It is based on a commitment to maternal and child health, inclusion and accessibility.
*The ‘My baby and me’ application was developed by Enfants du Monde, in collaboration with the Geneva University Hospitals, the Burkina Faso Ministry of Health, Terre Innovative Healtcare Srl, the incubator at the University of Ouagadougou 1 and the organisation Initiative privée et communautaire pour la santé et la riposte au VIH/sida au Burkina Faso (IPC/BF).
