This initiative demands that large international corporations integrate the protection of human rights and the environment into all business processes. This duty of due diligence also applies to the foreign activities of companies based in Switzerland.
People who are harmed abroad by corporations should be able to file a lawsuit in Switzerland.
If we all vote YES, we can achieve real improvement for people who experience injustices such as exploitative working conditions, child labour or pollution of soil and water in countries of the Global South. These people are not protected by their own state and have no chance to be heard in court.
IAMANEH Switzerland advocates the adoption of the initiative.
