At the General Meeting on 9 June, the Board of IAMANEH was expanded with the new arrival of Osman Besic and Karin Mader.
Besic, Head of the Health Department at the Swiss Red Cross, was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina and has a Masters in Public Health. Mader is an expert in the area of development cooperation with many years of experience in Africa. Amongst others, she has worked for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the German GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) as well as having numerous published works on the themes of development cooperation, the situation of women and health.
Christoph Keller has stepped down from the IAMANEH Board after six years. The Managing Director, Maya Natarajan, thanked him for his outstanding contribution.
Alongside the changes to the Board, other developments within IAMANEH were also discussed. The members approved the new statutes, which included the focus of the organisation on reproductive health and the fight against gender based violence. The final accounts were unanimously approved.
Finally, the members saw how a new project on the theme of menstrual hygiene was developed from the initial idea through to an actual project.
