Rojin's father gives her a critical ultimatum: either she passes the university entrance exam, or she must accept the full restrictions of an arranged marriage. For Rojin, a young Kurdish-Iraqi woman, the state exam is the key to a self-determined, emancipated life. Her older sister Shilan, trapped in an unhappy marriage and confined by traditional roles, is determined to save Rojin from the same fate at any cost. Together, they put everything on the line to ensure Rojin’s success, placing the sisters under immense pressure and entangling them in a sprawling web of corruption.
