The film Beyond Silence tells the moving stories of two survivors who bravely fight for their right to live a life free from violence. The personal narratives of two women illustrate the profound impact of domestic violence and highlight the critical importance of supporting survivors and holding perpetrators accountable. Despite the deep trauma they have endured, they have chosen to raise their voices and advocate for change. The film follows their journey of healing, showcasing both their individual struggles and their remarkable resilience and strength.
The film provides an insight into our project ‘Improved multisectoral response systems to respond to violence against women and girls’ in Albania, which we are implementing with our partner organisations Counceling Line for Women and Girls (CLWG) and Women to Women (WfW).
After the screening, filmmaker Gabriel Pecot and violence prevention experts from IAMANEH’s partner organizations in Albania will discuss the topic “Building Resilience, Overcoming Violence.”
